How does sorting work? I'm looking at a map!

You see all the house Icons on the map? Well, basically, the bluer the house, the closer it meets your match. If you sort by price, the lowest priced houses are the darkest blue, while the most expensive houses are a light bluish-grey. All matches scale down in color accordingly. You can also add filters to your search to show only the listings that interest you.

Why is your site so fast?

Unlike other real estate search sites you may have visited, RealMapz uses AJAX and / or javascript at every turn. This means that requests from the server only occur when you request listing details, saving loading time and bandwidth. The result is that you can see all the listings you want, apply your filters and sorting without ever re-contacting our server. This makes for a great user experience, a fast site and allows you to never leave the context of your current map view.

Why is your site so slow / unusable?

The down-side of using AJAX and javascript at every turn is that you must have a recent browser and a decent computer to use the site. We suggest using the latest version of either Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari. There are known issues with Internet Explorer version 6 -- it's usable, but not as fast as more modern browsers. Also, if you have a slow internet connection, you may find that the first page request takes a while to load -- be patient, and remember that once loaded, the return trips to the server are rarely needed. Oh, and of course Javascript must be turned on to view the maps.

What happens if I schedule a showing?

Your contact information will be given to one and only one Realtor who can accommodate your scheduled request. This agent will contact you within 24 hours. If you are already working with an agent, your contact information is sent to the listing agent, who can work with you, your agent and the seller to accommodate a showing. Your personal information is not sold or shared in any other way.

Why are there no / few listings in my area?

RealMapz gets its listings from partnerships with MLS associations. Your area may not be represented at the moment. Please check back with us soon.
